# HOORAY
I'm still colouring in that one from the other day D:

I redid the line art in flash so I had a MAHOOSIVE version to work on, but I've not had much time to do it :(

# Awesome :D
I've been trying to figure out how to make backgrounds transparent with Gimp 2 so I can have a go at colouring. It's all terribly complicated.

# I've not used Gimp before.
It was a hell of a mission tracing that other one.
Rigging on the little pirate ship?
Screws on the Cassette?
I love the thought that goes into it :D

# Layers>Transparency>Colour to Alpha
Turn all white to Alpha - sorted.

Of course, assuming it's a B&W like above...

Long time no see

# That's what I was trying to do.
It kept selecting either all of the picture or none of it.

# Glad to help
By no means an expert or anything, but if you need to pick someone's brains, gaz me :)

# Are you trying to make transparent all of the background or just parts of it?
Also you must save as a GIF or PNG. Jpg does not allow transparency

# Or do it the simple way
And save it as an XCF. Preserves the layers and everyhing :)

# Can you post an XCF image to /board?

(, Mon 21 Apr 2008, 21:43, archived)
# Yes.
Doubt they'll display, though. While working on the image though?
