(It's also absolutely lovely so far, and I've only wanted to elbow tourists in the head a few hundred times.)

It's actually jolly good. It's called Intrusion, and happens in a place called The Cellar on the second Tuesday of the month. Why it happens on a Tuesday is anyone's guess.

It's not a patch on slimelight or the ancient one that used to run out of the Coven2 (What was it called again?).
I get to be old now and not go out :D
edit: Today I cannot type. At all.
For Oxford goings out I suggest you indulge in a spot of nosh at RedStar noodle bar on the Cowley Road followed by a visit to The Star on Rectory Road (just off the Cowley Road) followed by a little late-night jaunt to either theZodiac Carling-a-fucking-cademy Oxford if there's a gig on, or to HiLo's jamaican bar if there's no gig on. Then go to Bodrum Kebab (actual food, not mechanically reclaimed blood-tinted sawdust) and wend your way home.

I'm 27 now, so chances are I was just getting a bit long-in-the-tooth and ready to sod off when you were arriving on the scene and being cheeky.
I got fed up with the Goth scene when I realised all my clothes had gone slightly different colours of grey and didn't match, and I couldn't afford to buy new ones, and the 'Rock' clubs in london were better than the 'goth' ones given my music taste at the time.
