about how some scientist had said that they could not definitively state that the LHC would not bring about the end of the world
it then quoted somebody else saying "yes, but we also cannot definitively state that it will not produce fire-breathing dragons"
this did not ease my concern

well apparently it might create very very tiny black holes, but they'll probably disappear almost as soon as they're created and not cause any harm
...probably

THEY ARE FUCKING SCIENTISTS! They could kill you in ways you couldn't even possibly imagine. They get to fuck around with the universe, that's their job.

I had a 7 mile run on my schedule tonight.
Mr Dagnall said 'It is 8 miles to Dawlish by road, so the coastal path will be a bit under 7 miles, but you can do an extra lap of the Quay, I'll drive you down.
The route along the coastal path was just shy of twelve and a half miles. Needless to say, I did not incorporate an extra lap of the quay into my run and I am tired and it is late and I have a lot of work to do, so I am ired.

I don't like my extensions not all working though, it is driving me insane and on my other laptop and my main machine I have reverted to FF2 for the time being.
