But I have a friend whom I actually cannot understand what he's saying.

And I swear that thing about changing words ending with "a" to ending with "awl" (e.g. "America" - "Americawl") is bollocks, I've never heard anyone say "Americawl" or "Cinemawl" or "Camerawl"

My favourite was a sign I saw at a fish stall in Bristol Market:
