Make them a bit darker and edgier.

# FUCK YES
I thought Chris Ecclestone was good

# YAY finally someone who understands
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:15, archived)
# chris eccleston's doctor was too jolly
too jolly for eccleston to pull off anyway. he's far too sombre
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:17, archived)
# Ecclestone was good in heroes
well for the few episodes he was in it! :D

# also good in where i ripped that ^ from

# i agree wid dat

# how many times do you people have this exact conversation in a week?
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:32, archived)
# i've never had this conversation before.
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:37, archived)

# and what do you make of david tennant
the smug little twat...

# He wasn't that chipper.
He was actually quite morose in comparison, and every cheerful moment was layered with a sad element.
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:38, archived)
# i agree
Ecclestone was much better. what pisses me off is the frequency he changes his companion - oh and they all want him - well excpet DONNA"OY SPACEMAN!!!"
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:16, archived)
# I think I'm the sole member of the Donna Noble fan club...
I thought she was ace and should definitely have stayed on for a second series.

Martha, however, needs killing with hammers.

# both martha and donna got on my tits
donna was more of a laugh - but they are both annoying!
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:20, archived)
# bugger me he's a twat and they all want in his pants
at least the eccleston/rose one wasn't so bad as the martha bitch.

The reason that they don't want to have anything going between him and tate is because the last of the viewers will be left wretching things that will rivial the dr who monsters of old.
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:19, archived)
# thats totally missing the point of dr who though
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:19, archived)
# sadly enough
i feel the best episodes recently have been the ones minus the doctor!! so maybe i'm missing the point totally :o)

i think that girl from the episode - i think it was called blink - should be his new companion.
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:22, archived)
# I think it should be a man, and he should be a complete bastard.

That would liven shit up.
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:24, archived)
# hahaha
remember the one from the first series he dumped back home :D that was classic! :D
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:25, archived)
# He was fairly young and a pansy though, they need a cold bastard.
Or a 17th century pirate.
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:33, archived)
# oh yes.
yes yes yes.
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:51, archived)
# Sally Sparrow?
I agree completely. Now that The Moff is taking over from RTD, wemight see her as the companion for Series 5 as he wrote 'Blink'.

Also, no more 'gay agenda'
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 15:15, archived)
# and homoerotic undertones isn't
and him getting near enough to sexing his companions?

I know it's not just the acting, but I think a bit of a darker, broodier doctor would work. One who thinks a bit...
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:23, archived)
# thats torchwood
i loved captain jack in the first series - but he really pisses me of these days!

# It would totally rock!
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 14:30, archived)
# I prefer Tennant to Ecclestone.
