We have guidelines for filesize around here. It'd be nice if you kept static images to 50kb, or animated ones to 250kb in size.

A read of the FAQ would probaby be a good idea.

After that Lemony has a few hints on how to reduce the filesize of an image.

But it's a bit too large on the filesize - we like to keep our still images below 50kB or thereabouts and animated ones below 250kB or thereabouts, try reducing the quality of the jpg or the actual size of the image.
