Assuming your cat is old there, is it old? has it had a good innings?

It adopted us after we'd lived here for two years, after watching us from a distance and living around the gardens.
Only found out recently that she used to live here with the old lady who sold us the house (she moved to sheltered housing and couldn't take the cat; I assume she was suffering a similar fate.)
