I'm actually listening to Jimmy Eat World right now.
I saw them live last winter. :D

I read in NME they're changing their name to Jimmy Eat Dick for the European market

You're ok.
You will notice that I said the majority. Not all....

in my country both are acceptable
although 'dick' seems to be in the ascendant, particularly in such usage as "awww shutup dick" and "awww harden up dick".
The cognate 'dickhead' doesn't really work with 'cock', although 'cocknose' is probably better than 'dicknose'.
also PRICK

though I think in Australia 'dick' is prevalent.
esp. DICKHEAD WANKER
with the Aussie inflection it's more deeck whereas with us it's closer to duck.
I SHOULD TOTALLY DO A POSTGRAD DIPLOMA IN COMPARATIVE PROFANITY

Well the first time I saw them they weren't but they played a tiny venue.
The last time I was meant to see then, when they toured that album above, they were supporting blink 182. But they cancelled the gig because Tom DeLonge wouldnt get on a plane a day after September the 11th. Cunt!
