They were good, but...
Getting tired of nazi mixes I guess. I only picked up so
many because they were silly cheap. 79 cents, I've got
about three packs left. But am going shopping tomorrow,
to buy pastry flour, regular flour and will do a nice scratch
pastry to reset. Perhaps the Pokies will join in.

good job.
i've got a cheesecake planned, but i prefer cooking to baking. my soup turned out great - when i bought the potatoes today there were pears on sale so it became pepper squash - leek - potato - pear soup. i put everything through the food mill and added a bit of cream and it's super.

Sounds good, pears savory well. Made killer leek and potato soup yesterday.
Had it again to day(was even better), and have enough for tomorrow(drools).

leek potato is a classic. i love it, cold or hot.
i started my soup yesterday to build the flavour, ate only a bit today. tomorrow i'll hog out, like a hog.
do you have a food mill? i fucking love using mine, best return for cost of any 'gadget' i own, except for, perhaps, my blender.

Stick blender, and a small steel colander for any pre-working.
Had various other things over the years. Yet, I've
found I can do most anything with that combo.
Also
Sieve set

stick blender counts.
i gues i was thinking of at least semi-complex tools, such as anything higher tech than a pestle and mortar. so sieves and colanders, while i like them, are more tool than gadget to me.

I seem to be reducing in the kitchen as the years pass.
Example;
I use a blade can opener cuz I hate the gunk on roller ones.
So, adding a motor to it strikes me as daft. And so on.
Odd as hell, given my love of all thing that go beep.
