I got my cats in december last year from a shelter, and though there weren't loads of kittens, there were a few.

I have one just around the corner, I have stroking privs with them at weekends.
Poor little kit-kats in their cages, it's just too upsetting, I want to take them all home with me :(

is lovely. The cats aren't in cages, they have big rooms, where about 15 cats live together, with a big outdoor cage to go run around in. There were about 3 rooms like that for cats, another three for dogs, then two little rooms full of toys and kittens/puppies. It's a lovely place.

but nursing them to health was good, and it's great now that they're mostly fine now (one cat still sneezes a lot). It can also be slightly pricey at first, vaccinations, stuff for if they're sick/have fleas after the shelter, then a couple of months later, getting them neutered, unless you want an autoerotic male cat, or a female (both of mine were female) who sticks her arse in the air begging for cock, or sprays sexywee on every flat surface in your house...
I don't have any regrets though. They are lovely now that they aren't in heat.
