Facts and science are not the same as pedantry.You would be unable to snap "his legs like twigs" for example, as twigs are made of wood, while legs are made of bone, muscle, tendons, ligaments and skin, which not only makes them more difficult to break, but ensures that when they break, they do not break like twigs.
