# You'll want /links for that sir.

# How do you enjoy Spore?
Watching friends play it, it seems somewhere between a really shallow real-time-strategy, without much actual strategy in it, and an RPG with enormously tedious quests. Or at least, there was a lot of time spent searching the surface of planets for tiny objects.

# I think you've summed it up right there
I wanted to love it so very much, but got bored in less than a week.

# If Chenobble can be addicted to it, though, maybe I'm missing something.

# I love the character, building and vehicle creation,
The terraforming is great, the space stage is generally cool.

You don't need to search the planets - there's a locator device that points the way to objects of interest.

EDIT: Though that's not to say there aren't some pretty major flaws - the tribal and civilisation stages are very limited for example.

# And the main flaw...
That irrespective of whether you're playing as a giant penis monster with a big smiley glans or some armoured, spike covered, poison spitting, invisible, flying four armed creature from the very depths of hell you still cannot actually fail.

Space got boring after a couple of hours.
