and out of plaster cast. They said since I'd been walking on it for 6 months, a cast wouldn't do much good, so I'm now in a huge 3D walking boot. Black, straps, velcro,
steel reinforcement. My left leg looks as if it's going a bit 'goth'

I still maintain that anything bad that happens to you is directly related to the fact that you just stopped imbibing alcohol. If you had been pissed like me your ankle would have just reacted in a 'Stretch Armstrong' kind of manner and we would have all been giggling at your little tumble.

I'd say use it as an excuse not to work and have some you time, but you won't.
