# I'm not pissed off
It'd just be nice for this place to make a decision so confusion and irks like this don't arise and everyone can make animations to the same shiny - or optimized with a link to bigger - level.

# I'm amazed the ammount of times I've been called a nazi
coz I've had a go at someone who's lurked for years, posted a 300k still. Them's the rule. I stick to them so why the hell shouldn't they?!

# you can be less than polite. and you have roasted the odd noob

# I really don't care if they're a noob.
Especially if there has been ten of them posting in a couple of hours as they must have seen what's already happened.
To many people think they can post a large image as they don't know how to make a smaller one. They have the internet, they can find out easily enough.

# I think someone needs to re-jig the faq
the fact that it's only a guidline and the fact it still stays 280 wide for the FP, makes me think it won't happen.

edit: Also if they said 150k still and 350k anim, everyone would use the max, would this not rock the b3ta servers a little?

# Yes an maybe saying it's OK to do a text post once in awhile but only it you actually contribute to the board.
A stupid number of noobs post text and then troll that it says they can of the faq.
Either that or state no text posts what so ever.

EDIT: I don't think the FAQ has changed in the last 3-4 years and the board was a very different place then with a lot less people. I think b3ta couple go the way IRC did when internet became commonplace.

# I've never been a lover of text
I'd not be sad to see it stopped.
(, Mon 27 Oct 2008, 8:50, archived)
# Yeah me too.
I'll go as far to say I fucking hate it. It's another sign that FAQ is faqqing (see what I did there?) out of date. That was there before the talkboard existed and the talkboard exists so text only post don't happen on the messageboard.

# Exactly!
I think they should make it impossible to post a new thread without a picture.
It would stop alot of mistake new thread posts too!

# I think if we did that we'd get a huge amount of posts
of other people's stuff or random crap they found just so they were able to post the text.
One option would be it say you have to donate to post. A donation could be just a quid but it means then there's a recognised link between the user account and the person. If they troll that person from that address can then be banned and then preventing them from posting again. Regardless to wheather they us another IP or user account.
You could also state the if the account posts an commercial advert their card will be charged an additional £200 before the account is cancelled. That'll stop the ad posts.

# ........And if they complain about being charged
we'll charge them for looking into the charge that we have no intention of going back on.
:D

# Even simpler than that.
They have no choice as they would have agreed to that when they clicked 'I accept the terms and conditions'.
