'Proving' ones credentials by voting for a token black man doesn't wash that away.
Obama has 147 days experience, an empty record and dodgy allegiances. He has made a tonne of gaffes and has elastic, vaguely socialist policies.
If he was white he wouldn't have got near the the Democratic nomination...but rich white liberal racists NEED to assuage their guilt.

I'm sorry for being so sceptical.
I remember the 70's.

Genuine question, I'm not just being a bitch. I really, honestly, truly don't care what colour he is. At all. (Although I *do* think it's about time that someone other than the rich, white, racist demographic you mention gets a shot, so in that sense I'm perfectly happy that he's so close.)

It's like Louis Hamilton - about his ability.
I don't think many people vote for Obama for his ability or his policy. They vote because they don't like Palin or Bush.
Either way - my comments were about the people who nominated him over Hillary (and are now voting for him) SIMPLY BECAUSE he is black.

What I'm on about is the cold hypocrisy of politics of convenience.

I'm not buying it. But I realise you're not exactly selling, so I think we can agree to disagree. :)

democracy seems to be a good angle, despite the rather obscene financial angles with these elections, and the rather boring rants of the 'it doesn't matter either way' brigade who we can see above, being childish fuckwits
These childish paranoid wankers never seen to put forward alternatives to their emo grasp of reality, other than several billion links to youtube they thrust forward as THE TRUTH
FAIL
