Karl Rove used the nutty christian types to get the vote out for Bush, but now they've taken over the party, and support people like Palin who don't appeal to the majority.

With a bit of luck, the Repubs will be out of power for at least 8 years.

Thank christ the grown-ups are back in charge. Obama will probably end up disappointing, but today feels very, VERY good :D

# difficult to say really. Mccain had the job of HAVING to look like a nice guy, cos there was sooo much stigma attached to the party.
i'm inclined to believe that if he were to have won, he would've shown his true colours and turned out to be only a slightly more intelligent version of bush.

and the Palin pick was soooooo transparent, and obviously forced on him by a party that was low on cash and needed an opinion boost. but it hugely backfired because no-one notidced she is in fact, mentally retarded.
