but my favourite western is The Bravados with Gregory Peck and Lee Van Cleef.
Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid is also good, with Kristofferson as Billy the Kid, James Coburn as Garrett, and Bob Dylan as a cheeky little knife-throwing rascal in the Kid's posse. Dylan also did the soundtrack.

i have no great objection to them, i've just never had the opportunity to see any of them.
