good call
... I tried putting mine in order of ... not BMP but that sort of thing - similarity. Never again. It was good because I listened to some I haven't listened to in a while but ultimately the best bit was when I got to put them back into the right order.

Haha! In fairness though I only keep my 12"'s and LPs in order, my 10"'s, 7"'s and 5"'s are just in a few boxes.

UGH! That's happened a lot. Last one was with the Wolf Eyes - Fuck the Old Miami 12". Apparently you can actually play the etched size, but it'll fuck up your stylus.

I enjoy putting them in different covers, so that each time I reach for a record
I get a lovely surprise.

Inless it's someones name, then it would be C, for Mr Chocolate, his first name being Hot.

Or you buy two copies, and file it under both
then if you can't remember part of the name you'll always be able to find it.

or throw out everthing else and just keep that one
or only listen to bands or people with one name

Hot Chocolate should be under H then C
Harry Connick Jr should be under C, then H ... but there should be some sort of higher level of arrangement by something like record label or genre.

I used to put mine in newness order, but in bands,
