# All of this
Norton raped my machine to the point that even my tech-head, IT-bod mate was shocked.

# yeah I learnt the hard way
it was such an utterly shit product.. my main purpose in life is now to get as many people as possible to uninstall Norton.

I'm like an internet vampire hunter

# I used norton for a while
and it did protect me from viruses, it did it by rendering my computer completely unusable

# Hahaha
you have to admit, that's effective protection right there. A bit like protecting someone from falling over by breaking both their legs.

# You and me both.
I used to recommend Norton to all my clients. I think it was the 2006 version that completely fucked a bunch of them over, and I felt obligated to help clean up the mess since I'd recommended it. It's a piece of shitful system-crushing bloatware.

# Norton yes,
I had it for 2 weeks and got rid of it.

But the old Symantec Corporate, which I have had on my computer since I got it, is absolutely brilliant! About a year after I got the computer, I suddenly remembered that I had never installed any anti-virus software and thought fuck! Then, as I was installing something or another, it said I already had one running.
