# How's the Ukrain situation?
I would give you money if:
a) some of it was going toward 16mm film to document the process

or

b) if I had any money.

Does this whole thing have anything to do with Herzog?

a.) it would be difficult to get 16mm film or a bolex through customs, i think, so I'll be documenting mainly on my wimpy panasonic camcorder which I've used to shoot most of my claymations

and

b.) of course you have money.

c.) it doesn't have directly to do with Herzog but considering the unbearable cold weather of Ukraine in January, I imagine he'd give me kudos for following in his brave-the-elements path (though I won't be dealing with angry midgets or bears)

january was the only time i could go, unfortunately. the people i'm visiting were in america this summer, and i have the month of january off between semesters, so...

anyway yes i will be freezing my tits off but i intend to be so trashed as to not be able to feel it either way!

the one cousin i got on with there moved well south into andalucia long ago, last i heard from him he was in malaga. i'd offer travel tips but i wasn't there long enough to do so and i'm guessing things have changed in the last twenty years.
