i watched 'cheaters' earlier tonight - it's hilarious. ever seen it?

hang on... cheaters. there are short clipd from the shows there, but youtube is a better resource (actually, youtube might be the best resource for crap like this).

# How's the Ukrain situation?
I would give you money if:
a) some of it was going toward 16mm film to document the process

or

b) if I had any money.

Does this whole thing have anything to do with Herzog?

edit: Oh wait, I thought you were walking for some reason. Nevermind about the Herzog thing.
(, Sun 21 Dec 2008, 8:23, archived)
# well
a.) it would be difficult to get 16mm film or a bolex through customs, i think, so I'll be documenting mainly on my wimpy panasonic camcorder which I've used to shoot most of my claymations

and

b.) of course you have money.

also

c.) it doesn't have directly to do with Herzog but considering the unbearable cold weather of Ukraine in January, I imagine he'd give me kudos for following in his brave-the-elements path (though I won't be dealing with angry midgets or bears)

# you're going to the ukraine?
i have family there, all of them crazy.
(, Sun 21 Dec 2008, 8:31, archived)
# they'd have to be crazy to live there in this weather! ahahahahahaha
sorry. really though? i thought you knew about my ukraine adventure.
(, Sun 21 Dec 2008, 8:33, archived)
# i don't think so, but i'm a bit out of it these days.
tell me more or link to a relevant explanation, please.

# oh, neat. i hope you have a blast.
why in hell did you choose january as visiting time there?

i was last there in '88 or so.
(, Sun 21 Dec 2008, 8:40, archived)
# thanks.
january was the only time i could go, unfortunately. the people i'm visiting were in america this summer, and i have the month of january off between semesters, so...

anyway yes i will be freezing my tits off but i intend to be so trashed as to not be able to feel it either way!

# i suggest deplaning in full 'ukrainian ethnic' garb as imagined and sewn by your local old people.
the one cousin i got on with there moved well south into andalucia long ago, last i heard from him he was in malaga. i'd offer travel tips but i wasn't there long enough to do so and i'm guessing things have changed in the last twenty years.
(, Sun 21 Dec 2008, 8:51, archived)
# indeed they have
while my friends in the country insist things are completely different, i have friends here in baltimore who came from ukraine maybe 10-12 years ago and insisted that i cut my hair and buy a tracksuit before i go there

# I know crazy Ukrainians
they're pretty crazy.

I don't talk to them anymore.
(, Sun 21 Dec 2008, 8:46, archived)
# well, craziness is directly proportional to attractiveness
so yes, ukrainian women at least are very, very crazy.
(, Sun 21 Dec 2008, 8:47, archived)
# until they reach their 25-30's
(, Sun 21 Dec 2008, 8:59, archived)
# While I enjoy such generalisations
I can not stand behind this one. I've been dealing with lots of crazy recently and I feel like it comes in all kinds of packaging.

# i felt we all needed a little pain. it makes us more alive.

# On the latest episode of Nigella's Christmas kitchen she says,
"Pink as a beaver." I shit you not. I had to rewind as I approached the vinegar strokes couldn't belive my ears.

# at least she wasn't describing her own genitals. those are dark brown and as hard as the bits of burnt fat in a pan of chipped beef forgotten in an oven when the house burns down.
