# Are you going to have to hold you leg up like that the whole time?
(, Wed 7 Jan 2009, 5:20, archived)
# no, i have slaves to do that.
the ones who aren't carrying me about in a sedan chair will be either fanning me with giant moonflowers or elevating my limbs.

# i thought he was implying i only had one slave. war was nearly declared.
they only have to elevate the one limb, but i'm having them all elevated so i feel like i'm floating on a cloud of crushed dreams.

# My mum had that surgery about 3 weeks ago.
The recovery involves immense pain despite great painkillers.

The nurse let me pull out one of the staples, I was all like YEAH! I'M PULLING A STAPLE OUT MY MUM'S FAT FLESH and stuff.
(, Wed 7 Jan 2009, 5:48, archived)
# haha, i'll let you pull mine out if you like.
but i'm hoping for stitches instead. or a giant bolt and padlock setup.
(, Wed 7 Jan 2009, 5:50, archived)
# I hope it goes well for you.
After 3 weeks Mum can now put her full weight on it, although I suspect you are younger and much less massive.

She was so out of it on the tablets, I was able to purloin a few for my own recreational use. They were good pills, for a couple of days I couldn't tell shit from dirty pudding.

He must be doing good business.

In other news, I have OA in both knees, and will probably need this very same surgery before I hit 45. Yay me.

Good luck with it. I understand it makes a hell of a difference to your mobility and pain levels.
