# our dishwasher has an 'ecology' mode
it means we have to wash the dishes again by hand afterwards.

# My wife won't put anything in the dishwasher
unless it's been rinsed clean under the tap first.

That's right. You might as well just wash up by hand.

# i think dishwashers are all evil
next door's keeps me awake at night.

ffs just how long does it take to wash stuff up by hand, without fail if ever i visit someone with a dishwasher i have to get a mug out of the sodding thing and wash it up before i can have a cuppa.

# you have to have enough cutlery and crockery so that you can fill the thing up
but then after it has washed them you do not have enough space to put everything away

# hehehe!
i truly can't see the point of them at all in the average household, i don't recall ever spending more than 10-15 mins ever doing the washing up, using water that's already been heated, and no additional electricity, eco wash? don't make me laugh.
