TJ - anyone know where i can get a cheap (or better free) version of vista premium or how to make a duel boot for vista / xp?? gaz me if you can :D

# Well once you've enough space on two partitions it's not too tough.
Did you re-load the Vista boot? It's overwritten when you install XP. When do you bluescreen?

I'm not sure what you're doing wrong. The most comprehensive guide I've used has been: apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_vista_and_xp_with_vista_installed_first__the_stepbystep_guide.htm

i did try this myself and failed - i think it was due to them having diff boot configs - one is .ini the other isnt

When you install XP it rights over the vista boot (I don't know what it is) with the XP boot.ini.

You need to replace the boot.ini
