oh this reminds mesome dudes came to make a sales pitch at my work last week, trying to get us to buy 3dMED, a 3D camera system. Two cameras take pics from either side of face, then all points are interpolated to create a photorealistic 3D model of the head, all in about 1 minute. Lovely stuff (although when I got to try it out, it looked shit, as it was only set up for one-pass processing, which meant there was a large void where my beard should have been.)
