# Woo to the motherfuckn' yay!
I need to catch a train to Blackpool from Euston in two weeks time. I'm thinking about leaving now to get to the station in time*

*Edit: This would make more sense if you knew that I live at the arse end of the Met line.

# ouch.... you'd probably be better off walking
(, Fri 13 Mar 2009, 13:25, archived)
# The REALLY funny thing is
that I have to travel from my home, into London to catch a train which will go past the same freaking platform I was standing at to catch the train to Euston in the first place!

Same on the way back. I'm thinking of pulling the emergency cord near my station and jumping off the train
(, Fri 13 Mar 2009, 13:35, archived)
# could you not change at birmingham new street and catch a slow train?

# You live near me?

# it'd be quicker from the junction to euston and back out.
unless its from as far as amersham
(, Fri 13 Mar 2009, 13:29, archived)
# Yes, it would
if I could be sure that the trains from Junction would be running at all. The service is so sporadic I've seriously considered getting a taxi to Euston.
(, Fri 13 Mar 2009, 13:33, archived)
# hmmm, it has been quite shit these last few weeks, yes.....
(, Fri 13 Mar 2009, 13:34, archived)

# hippy

also, dawn of war 2 gets a bit repetitive after the hundredth mission on the same map. i am a bit disappointed.
(, Fri 13 Mar 2009, 13:40, archived)
# haha yeah there's like eight maps
i didnt get bored of them though on the hard difficulty levels.

the ork campaign should be fun, i think that's up next.
(, Fri 13 Mar 2009, 13:43, archived)
# that sounds better, i'm much more of an ork fan than marines anyway.
i think its because i didn't realise you don't have to grind through every distress signal that comes up. i'm going to start just concentrating on the story missions i think. as it stands its a very clever game but i wish they'd put as much into the level design as they did in DOW1. essentially I'd be happy with something a bit more like Dark Crusade.

# I always preferred the Imperial Guard personally, though they're not even in the new one are they?
(, Fri 13 Mar 2009, 13:56, archived)
# they'll probably be in the first expansion
guard will probably be my next army i think, www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog/DEATH_KORPS_OF_KRIEG.html
(, Fri 13 Mar 2009, 13:57, archived)
# They're all very Helghast those models.
The only problem with Dawn of War is a bet you can't select which model sets to use or anything can you? So you'd probably just have the standard 'bloke with hat and sword' imperial guard.
(, Fri 13 Mar 2009, 14:00, archived)
# in Dawn of War i think it was predominantly Cadian if i remember rightly
apart from the Death Korp and Valhallans they're probably the coolest
