Ive done a lot of life drawing so the first things that spring to mind are:Don't fall in to the trap of drawing things that aren't actually there. For example, lips and noses don't have a line defining them in real life, so try to suggest that line with a bit of shading instead. Your pics will look a lot better for it :)
