To be fair, I don't think you'd expect to learn about film special effects in school,
unless you're taking a film-making degree.

A lifetime special effects nerd right here *raises hand*
not nearly as much fun since the invention of digital compositing and CGI but I'm the one who listens to the effects commentary with glee.

It seems to be everywhere now, I suppose due to effects guys being nerds for such references,
like the Wilhelm Scream and every merkin army style group having a Kawalski, it's become an in joke with the guys behind the scenes.

Yeh, well, the man seems only to see dollars rather than have any sense of artistic style or restraint these days,
but I kinda thought the big boom at the end needed a little help.
Coulda seriously done without all the distracting 'comedy' CGI aliens and robots in the background of every scene tho...
