# is there any point in getting an infra red filter?
(, Wed 29 Apr 2009, 21:56, archived)
# If you're likely to shoot anything that creates inconsistant infra-red, then yes.

# ....like trees?
n mountains?
(, Wed 29 Apr 2009, 22:03, archived)
# No, not really. Not a huge amount of things emit IR light without also emitting normal wavelength.
Besides obvious emitters like remote controls etc.

# okay dokey
thank you :)

# Cool
If you are not splashing out on various glass, I would consider the G10 over that to be honest

# The G10?
That's a Powershot, right?
I do want to be able to change lenses and stuff. For yearbook next year, I have to be able to change lenses actually. The one thing I don't like about the XT is that I can't use fisheye lenses and the like, because the 1.6x focal length addition.

# It is indeed a Powershot
but to be honest, I don't see much point playing about with glass unless you are on at least a 450D body

The G10 is a superb camera, sort of tempted to get one myself to have lying around; it shoots in raw as well, at 14 million pixels!

# 450D?
That's the XSi, innit?

# the latest rebel

# You and your Yanky branding!
but yes, I got muddled up with your Rebel XT
(, Wed 29 Apr 2009, 22:26, archived)
# Hahahahah
:D
Yeah I kinda want that one. If i use the money from my job though, that puts me out $700 from my car fund. xp

# I think that's what my daughter had when she took photog class.
It's now a pricey dust collector.

I might have to be a mean daddy and claim it for my own.

# Hahahah
That's not mean daddy, that's survival of the fittest. ;D
