# Pffft I've been to Mexico at least six times, and do I have swine flu? Nooooo.

# its funny how they havnt lcosed the border down if this is so bad
fuck all people have died from it and they probably died because they had a very weak immune system,i think its all bullshit to be honest

# I thought nobody has died from it
but that was yesterday.

# Last I heard there were about 15 confirmed.
But that's fuck-all compared to how many die from flu every year already.

# What's the point in closing the border if it's already spread?
As the symptoms are essentially the same as regular flu, it's tricky to identify a new strain before it's spread quite a way.
It is being hugely hyped up at the moment, but just because it's currently pretty tame doesn't mean it'll stay that way.

# This^^^^^
I would rather that people worried too much than were overtly blaise about it and it did claim more victims....

# It's a tough one.
It's good that the authorities are taking it seriously and making plans, but individuals panicking probably doesn't help much.
But if it makes people cover their mouths/noses when they cough or sneeze, then it's a good thing.
