If you factor in some form of clairvoyance, catching a future echo, then artists in the past, who would be naturally seeking to tap into those inspirational waters of the ether, may be picking up those signals as well, the replays of the images we all saw on TV.
And also, a lot of coincidence. As probablly the most istinctive tall buildings, and being in NY City, home of many a DC and Marvel yarn, there's bound to be a lot.
