# I like his little jaunty hop
(whether it is intentional or not)
slight TJ: What is the British equivalent for Mediamarkt, if any?
(aka a DVD-CD-electronics store chain with incredibly low prices)
I'm pond-hopping next month and was hoping to shovel me a few tonnes of cheap DVD-boxes.

# Erm,
I would say Comet if anyone.

Depends what you are after though? If you want Home Entertainment stuff, you can't go wrong with Richer SOunds.

EDIT: Where are you going in Britain? Comet will do cheap DVD cases I would imagine....

# Ah right!
How long are you here for? And where are you staying? If you are staying with a friend or some such, I would say get stuff delivered to theirs from Play.com ;)

Otherwise, HMV and Zavvi normally have some pretty good deals on the high street.

# Sounds like a plan!
I'm mostly going to blow everything on comics anyway.

# I thought Zavvi went tits up with Woolworths?
They certainly were in administration. They were selling off all stock in January.

Buying media on the high street in the UK is a ridiculous idea now.
You are better off with Play.com

# Why not buy them at MediocreMarkt then?

or are you just like me and won't you be caught dead inside one?

# Well, I've been there, but since the pound is quite low, I'd like to compare prices :)
I'm visiting a friend up North, and profiting from the exchange rate at the same time.
