although use your illusion was '91 it hardly makes up for being the decade which saw gnr split up, iron maiden struggling, grunge appearing, and afaik sod all else happened in that decade.

the first 2 oasis albums are quite good though.

The only thing really that makes the 00s any better though are the people from the 80s making good albums again.

I agree most commercial music in the nineties was terrible, commercial pop became a serious industry then but the underground stuff was much more interesting than the Eighties' equivalent.
