If you live south of the river and want to get a black cab home late at night, befriend a black cab driver who lives near you who works nights. Problem Solved. It's what I did :D

This little fact determined the boundaries of my previous house-hunting in London and I made damn sure I was well within a 6 mile radius of the West End.
