
The only time I ever eat pork scratchings is at beer festivals... I also ate a really hairy one for a bet once.

I am rather partial to a pork scratching. Although the overmanufactured ones (such as Mr. Porky's) take all the fun out of them.
There used to be a real thrill of danger eating proper scratchings (e.g. Jay's, of Sheffield), where you were never quite sure on biting down on one whether it would be pure crunchy goodness, or if your teeth would sink into squishy, yielding grease...

And I live next door to a butchers shop, so I know the derma-porky pleasure is only a seconds walk away....
