# I turned into Manley there, I'm sorry.

# I'd love to turn in to womanly
then I could really go fuck myself

'edit' I think I might have had too many hobgoblins
(, Fri 16 Oct 2009, 21:50, archived)
# There is no such thing
I miss Hobgoblin.

I also miss Circle Master. And other Wychwood beers.

# ris are doing them for a quid a bottle

# Never tried Green Goblin
Took me ages to get into cider again after vomiting on it a few times as a teen. I shall try and hunt some out -- the British shop here probably sells some for only twice the going rate.

Wychwood ale ftmfw!

# my shop was doing 4 different wychwoods for a fiver,
hobgoblin and circlemaster were two of them, can't remember what else was in the pack. lovely little box it was too

# I think I know that boxset
Both Asda and Waitrose had it last time I was over. Damn, what are the others? Fiddler's Elbow and Wychcraft! (I cheated, I went to their website.) God damn I love those beers.

Edit: You have a better memory than me :)

# nah I just sell shitloads of it
and get 20% staff discount wheeeey

# Fantastic
I'm not jealous at all!

(Well, I can buy German beers for 70c including a 10c deposit on the bottle at any supermarket, which is always good. But as good as some of them are they're not quite Wychwood.)

# I prefer the lighter ales
Spitfire, Summer Lightning especially is lovely :)
(, Fri 16 Oct 2009, 22:14, archived)
# I first had Summer Lightning
in a Wetherspoons when I was 17. Despite these innocuous beginnings, I grew to love it enormously.

Still the best beer I've tried was a small one called Golden Drop that was sold in Northants for a few months in 96 or so. Never seen it since, at least not outside the bounds of cheap porn. This is a pity, because it has a kind of glow in my memory.

# I used to like ones with names that amused me.
Frolicking Farmer and Thirsty Moon were my favourites.

# around the time i tried golden drop i also tried belt and buckle
that was fucking minging. it tasted like it was someone's sweaty belt and buckle boiled in stagnant water.

# Those are all fine.
But I humbly submit; Badger's Golden Champion.
