# It's based on the GlaxoSmithKline Logo
Sorry.. sarcasm. Seriously though, there simply isn't room on this board to go into the evidence that that's what they do, along with the other pharmaceutical giants. Have a little browse on the interwebs for scandals over the years. Pandemrix is the UK licensed swine-flu vaccine, and it ain't nice, check out theflucase dot com to start your enlightenment. If you want to know...

I don't blame the drug comps for doing what they do, otherwise they wouldn't be able to afford to do what they do

# this is just a general point I'm making here, and not directed at you babbage in any personal form:)
but a lot of 'conspiracy theorists' on the internet often use the phrase (or variation of) 'check out XXX site/paper/book to start your own enlightenment'.
I can't help thinking that it's the blind leading the blind. Very often, the theorists will just 'point the way' expecting people to come to the same conclusions they do.
(, Wed 28 Oct 2009, 19:48, archived)
# I respect your opinion
And yes there is a lot of nutty stuff out there too, but you've obviously made you conclusion to lump everyone with an alternate view into the same hat. You're not alone, but I find it all a terrible shame.
(, Wed 28 Oct 2009, 19:56, archived)
# I don't mind alternate views as long as they don't conflict with my own.
(, Wed 28 Oct 2009, 19:59, archived)
# hahaha, oh that's great :)
I've obviously made a conclusion to lump everyone with an alternative view into the same hat.

So, you're not 'lumping me into a category of people' at all then ;)

It is a terrible shame, you're right. I do look at data, opinions, evidence and make my own conclusions, and I do respect other people's opinions and the right to have them. I just find the conspiracy theorists (on the internet, at least) have a 'trend' to make the way 'evidence' is presented to be more than a tad one sided, not giving alternative or opposite viewpoint to encourage debate, and primarily producing 'evidence' based upon second hand information and conjecture at best.
but still, thats just me. One opinion of many. let's not forget, opinions on the internet are like arseholes. Everyone has one :)

Anyway, nice image, good too see new people round these parts, and hope you're enjoying it here fella :)

# meh...
Well I suppose I deserved that:) I'm not a conspiracy theorist by the way, I share a similar view to what you've just said. Looks like our conclusions might have landed on different sides of the fence this time..

Thanks about the image though :D

# Hello, I haven't seen you here before so I'm going to give the benefit of some doubt.
I'm sure that if you stay here a little while you'll realise we don't really take kindly to the pushing of any sort of idiology, whether you think the world is ending, or run by aliens, mecha jesus, or whatever.
We like funny pictures.
(, Wed 28 Oct 2009, 19:56, archived)
# Fair enough
I doubt I'll do it again... it's not an idiology though. I like funny pics too, thats why I come here!

My dad used to work for them.

They're actually very proud of the great work they do for humanity's benefit - or that's what their employee propaganda suggests anyway ;)
(, Wed 28 Oct 2009, 20:21, archived)
# No surprise there...
I expect their employee newsletter implies that God himself endorses their benevolence and life on earth would consist of a 10 foot deep layer of cancer by now if they hadn't intervened, but then that's just normal spiel for any big corporation...:)
