whacking out all the code that supported power pcs let apple claim to have streamlined it by saving about a gig or so, i think it is.
streamlining = make half your users' computers unusable with the new os. they buy new machine. profit!
apparently there's quite a lot of changes in snow leopard that the normal user doesn't see. at the minute, this big gay mac user is still just using normal leopard...

Much faster than vista, been using the RC for a few months now, not had a single crash. Should get round to installing the proper version sometime :P
