Kind of an experiment
which I didn't think went too badly.
It does tell me two things though. Firstly, Katie Melua doesn't half look like Zooey Deschanel. Secondly, I need a graphics tablet. Click the picture for stupidly large 650k goodness. Fuck me, that actually is stupidly large, it's something like 2500 pixels across.

That is stupidly good, go away.

ta!
edit: though it is just tracing. www.b3tards.com/u/8b5b151f962a8656e5fe/wellthisdidntworksmall.jpg was my attempt a year or two back to draw the same picture properly by hand and it was... unsuccessful.

Ah I see.
Then you can stay.
This is my mouse-drawing attempt, but it's of Pokémon not real people:

what the sweet christ?
this confuses me and arouses me in equal measure.
i did draw this last week or the week before, and i'm very proud of it

I already have
One look at that and I spaff in no time.
Now I must go shopping because I'm starving having eaten almost nothing in two days because of a nasty cold. Laters all.

hahaha
this is a common feeling
i suspect if i got a graphics tablet i'd feel exactly the same for a few weeks
*random line*
*random line going five times too far*
*random line bearing no resemblance to what's in my head*
*GRAAAARGH*

Who to?
They're rather hypnotic, aren't they? As I was drawing it they were telling me to take my trousers off. And run around on the street. And roll in the rain shouting "I LOVE THE BEACH!"
Excuse me, I need to go out for a while. I may catch pneumonia.

I think it is fair to say
the experiment was successful. I only draw with a mouse, so sympathise how frustrating it can be.

hair is a nightmare
i love drawing hair with a pencil but with a mouse you just end up with horrible straight lines everywhere and bits jumping around. most irritating.

Oooh, some really nice stuff in there
Me, I've decided that I'll only draw pictures of Al Murray and Sinead o'Connor in the future. Much easier.

well, neither is this
i've long taken the view that i don't care how something was done if it looks good :)

this is tracing. i'm so rubbish at drawing i've decided to learn how again by tracing...

I can do stick men, and sponges, and.... well thats about it. Its nice to photoshop pictures, dont have to fart about with drawing 'n' shit :D

"I can do stick men"
You should set up a popular, nerdy, computer-science oriented webcomic and make a living from it. You could call it, hmmm, let's see... xkcd! You'd make a fortune.
Photoshopping pictures is easier, but tracing them isn't too hard either...

I think someone beat me to it though. That and I cant get the faceless emotions right :/
I'm quite proud of my MS paint, mouse drawn toff though: www.b3tards.com/u/21a2cb50467017ac3eb1/goodday.jpg (i'll not clog the board with pictars).
I'm also going to get cracking on a wee animation idea that popped into my mind after an astro lecture today :)

aww i like him
he looks like a posh, shy nerd
astro lecture? hmm. there's no money in astronomy, you know. take it from me...

tehehe. tah
yeah, it wasnt the proper astrophysics lecture, but a talk by one of the awesomest lecturers in the department about extra terrestrial life.
He basically said that its possible that in the very distant future the Matrix could exist. Which sounds awesome.
Well it would be cool to work for NASA or some shit like that, but a physics degree can get you places. Are you head of the European Space Program or something? :P

Alas, no
I quit astronomy after two years because I got sick of error bars about twice the size of the graph itself, and then ended up in... cosmology, where we have error bars about four times the size of the graph itself. And statistical proof that it'll NEVER GET BETTER.
I want to retrain as an explosives modeller and do simulations of what happens when you fill a fridge with semtex. Now *that* would be fun.

Ugh
I want to think that if you just ignore error bars they go away. Errors and such are definitely the work of the devil.
That WOULD be fun. You could even go "Brb, just checking that my simulation is accurate. If we have any fridge related terrorist attacks, we'll know who to look for.

I'm purely theory
yes
*shifty eyes*
also, theory means that i ignore error bars with impunity. error bars are for observers. THE FOOLS.
