# Some are born great,
some achieve greatness,
and some have greatness thrust upon them.

Mind you, if experience is anything to go by, it's the kids that are declared geniuses at a very young age who end up getting nowhere in life. Ambition gets you further than natural ability.

# my ideal job
would be in either virology or forensic toxicology.

# Virology is pretty cool. I saw a book called something like 'the encyclopedia of viruses' in a library.
It had some great line drawings of various viral capsid shapes, all geometric and stuff.

Forensic toxicology could be good, too I suppose. Mass-spec, peak analysis, that sort of thing.

# i've always been fascinated by poisons and viruses
the deadlier, the better. it sounds odd, but i absolutely love the ebola virus, it's an almost perfect killing machine.

# The only thing that keeps it contained is the lack of transport infrastructure where it lives.
That ought to be a lesson for the rest of us. It's pretty awesome stuff.

I'll tell you what else is fascinating. Virophages, prions, and nanobacteria.

# i've been meaning to read up on virophages
ever since watching i am legend

# True. Motivation, ability to finish tasks, set realistic goals, etc etc. All just as important as IQ, or other similar measures.

# I never had to work hard at anything throughout my entire education, that's my problem.
I'm not accustomed to it. If I'd ever had to struggle to achieve academically, I'd probably have appreciated it a lot more. As it is, the idea of getting good grades just isn't even interesting to me. In all honesty, I'd rather just be normal, and get invited to parties.
