One evening, not so long ago, me and my friend created a particle accelerator of the finest hightech appliances. Most important are 1,5 m USB cable for the accelerator unit itself, extra batteries for additional powersupply (it takes quite a lot of energy to accelerate particles), tea, emptied sweets tin for capturing and containing spontaneus generated black holes, weapons (against spies - especially the feebleminded and envious dolts from CERN) and probably most important: safety goggles (preferably 3D-ones so you won't miss anything).
As can be seen, our first particle was captured on our high-speed camera and came out very nice.

it took me a while to work out what the hell it was

Thank you.
Particle science is unfortunately difficult to explain with few words.

Particle science is unfortunately difficult to explain with few words.

I'm just thinking about a way to prove it
