Bookmarked for me too
Wish they'd do stuff as good as this again. The 10 'o Clock show really just does not cut the mustard.

Not to sound like a DM reader
But yes. Brass Eye was and possibly still is the best.

10 o'clock lacks the ability to do biting political humour and satire
Lauren Laverne has come up with some howlers exposing her lack of political knowledge, Jimmy Carr seems to just use it as a comedy showcase for himself and Booker sometimes gets too lost in his own rants. Mitchell could pretty much go it alone, he's done some really very good interviews and commentary on that show.
to note: I've not watched it in a fair while now, it started to irritate me.
oh yeah, nearly forgot, brass eye whoo!

Totally agree with this
Lauren Laverne is the epitome of the token woman on that show, she isn't a comedian and doesn't know anything about politics. Jimmy Carr also appears to know fuck all about current affairs.
Stopped watching it when I realised I was skipping more bits than I was watching. Love David Mitchell though.

I have nothing against any of them
And mostly I love DM and CB in other stuff, but I couldn't get on with that program at all. It's just all too easy, point after point preached to a fully converted choir - they say things they know the audience will lap up and the audience lap it up. Pull on someone slightly right of centre to ridicule everything they have to say and put a social worker who helps under priveledged kids in the same discussion for the audience to cheer.
Pisses me right off it does. Room full of self congratulation and beneath all 4 of them.

agree. Mitchell is perhaps the closest to balance.
but its all cheap jokes and young-leftie pandering. Brooker shows more intelligence in his other programmes.
