I've been using b3ta as an example of how a forum, and even a real society, should operate. We're self-policing. It's something that I think is crucially important in terms of creating a valuable, healthy community. I extend this practice beyond the internet, and into the actual community because I see how much of the self-policing/self-correcting behavior is missing from society.
Instead of being a bunch of individuals just operating independently, what I see is a kind of accountability. It's the one aspect of b3ta that I feel has kept a high level of civility, which seems ironic considering the puerile content.

I just couldn't help myself. I got all sappy when I saw b3ta up on that big screen.
