Surprised they're still using just bleach really
I work on Catergory I/II things and we use special detergent that inactivates DNA/RNA. Ebola is Cat IV.

It's a virus, isn't it?
I don't think blaming cats is fair.

Ebola is very contagiuos when passed person to person...
But very delicate outside if the body, so a high oxidant like bleach will be just the ticket to disrupt its structure.

Still, there will be other virus/bacteria in that not to mentions bits of human stuff and the last thing we want is it recombining with something else especially when we don't know much about its lifecycle or it's natural reservoir.

Are you sure your special detergent is not a rebranded clorox?
Not even joking.

I do not work for Clorox Inc. or any of their fine companies. *looks shifty*
It is at least chlorine based, with a hint of eucalyptus....it's like scrubbing a koala.
