why are Elite fans scared of other people (non kickstarter/early adopter types) playing the game?
Would it not be better with more people to steal from and fight?

Show me a game advert that is actually representative of gameplay. Adverts are to dress up and sell, nothing more.

That community has invested a lot of time and money in helping bring this game to release.
It's a beautiful game, with moments of serenity as well as nail biting action.
Full of beautiful imagery with no need for pre-rendered animations. A game to be playing with patience, careful building and development.
Trading, exploration, as well as combat.
A whole universe to explore ticking away like clockwork.
And this trailer comes in like a brash adolescent shouting and screaming, giving completely the wrong impression about what E:D is like to play. It's specifically designed to appeal to twitch gamers which this is completely the wrong sort of game for and those people will just spoil it for others.
And worse still if those players become the majority voice then the development team might start taking direction from them instead of sensible people with a proper HOTAS, gaming chair and advanced display unit of choice.
[edit]
Frontier have refused at all stages to allow a 3rd person camera, it's a design decision that I think works to keep immersion. In game music is subtle and never overpowers the in game environmental sounds.
So when they release a trailer all in the 3rd person and overlay it heavily with generic rock in kind of jars.

they'll either like the actual style of gameplay and stick around or not and leave. I can't see how it would force Frontier to overlay a rock soundtrack to the game or whatever else you are scared of ;)
But most importantly, for the short term at least you have some easy pickings in noob space explorers no doubt laden with precious metals and no fight skills

Also you'ld think it would be a nice point to mention the 400 billion system galaxy each star with procedurally generated solar system, planets, asteroids, and coming up landing on those planets and exploring.

Those interfering, power-mad, EU bureaucrats in Brussels!
You were right all along.

After I've jovially made reference to one of your more Daily-Maily obsessions.
[edit] oh ha ha ha. I see. No, I've still not got any sockpuppets atm. Certainly not one that I've actually put myself on ignore with.

meaning anything they pretty much object to becomes something no leftie or moderate should dare raise any objection to; the European Union, immigration, open borders; all of which are serious issues choked of any meaningful debate because of an at almost fascist like backlash by the left, which to be honest troubles me a lot more than the garbage the DM rant and makes a twat out of itself about

Also Tabs if you're referring to my well documented anti-EU federalism the right do not have exclusivity on that view.
It's not my vault people hold new labour and their sanitised left wing lite as the only option left of cameron.
