This is a normal post Why does everyone apologise for Vimeo?
Seems to do a perfectly good job of presenting good quality videos to me.

This is a normal post It comes from a couple of years ago
When Vimeo's embedded player would never play more than a couple of seconds of video before pausing to buffer, even on the fastest connections. It seems better these days.

I used to heap scorn on it because if an artsy-fartsy hipster piece got posted you could bet your last penny it was hosted on vimeo. Nowadays I'm that fed up of YT not working on this computer vimeo is a nice change, especially for the HD stuff.
