
Alright dudes? I used to play the trumpet and learned about half of this piece when I was at uni - it's a technical piece (Arban is like the Paganini of brass), and it gets progressively more difficult - it's a total bitch. Haven't played properly in about five years but have started learning it again :o/

I made it all the way through the Arban's book. I remember playing the Carnival of Venice when I was just a child. I wondered what the big deal was, as I'd never heard the other arrangements. Trumpet is not an easy instrument. I finally put it away. I picked it up a few years ago, and enjoyed it. But I've forgotten everything.

The Arban Method book is for a wide range of instruments including the cornet. Also, trombone get it in a non-transposing key. Have look:
