Gosh, that was pretty bleak

Wonderfully bleak. The music kinda reminds me of Donnie Darko ... off to check sources.

Foolish me - I was thinking of Gary Jules' cover of 'Mad World' from Donnie Darko. Ugh, bedwetter music. I just checked Yann Tiersen, noticed he did the score for 'Good Bye, Lenin!' which is a fab film.

The original song was featured on the soundtrack for the film "Amélie".
I enjoy the film, but I can see why some people say it's a little twee. The soundtrack is very good either way* and that particular tune is "Comptine d'un Autre Ete - l'Apres-Midi". My own favourite is "La Noyee"
My only complaint about the soundtrack is that it didn't include the catchy tune that the erotic dancer performs to. (Alex Gopher - "The Child")
*Just so long as you like bouncy accordion music.

oh for goodness sake its not that bad is it?
I'm sure its all just a silly phase humans are going through and will blow over soon. We'll all be back in the pub with a £1.20 pint talking to each other face to face like the good old days in no time.

A shocking indictment of our society
Every single one of those people was taking pictures and videos in portrait mode. A true dystopia.
Actually, in my day it was acid house that was going to destroy society, but we managed to muddle through somehow. Well made vid though.

I honestly don't get it. Human interaction is exactly the same whatever the medium is.
