Speak for yourself
I liked the Daniel Craig Bonds precisely because I found those issues made the character interesting.

'Do you expect me to kill?'. 'No, Mr Bond, we expect you to agonise over it for some inexplicable reason and then kill, that way a tiny minority of wankers feel much better about it'.

Ah, you've only watched Quantum of Solace
That explains it.

Obviously
quantum of solace is so typical of a Bond film that anyone who talks about classic Bond scenarios can be accused of having only seen that film.
Just like every bond film ever.

Don't dislike him or his performance especially but the plots....or rather writing.
First is a remake, fine. Second one is a dull plot and a dull villain, third is one big plot hole ending as Home Alone, it also starts the dreaded shrinking universe that is turbo charged in the last one (also contains the worst Bond villain ever, and that takes some doing)
