I'll freely admit they're aiming for a younger audience than me. I don't think that excuses them making what are very clearly just bad films.

But Disney are also behind the Marvel franchise, and they managed to make some brilliant ones of those. Both Guardians of the Galaxy films and Thor Ragnarok being highlights.

And realise they're formulaic power fantasies where we have to take people running around in stupid costumes like its super serious business.

Into the Spiderverse is the only recent Marvel property film worth a damn, because it actually respects and pays homage to the source material it came from
